But 2025 is bringing a new adventures the start of the year I’m finally going up to Scotland to do a Black Grouse lek then in September I’m off to Borneo to see wild orangutans 🦧

Basking in the warm glow of the winter sun at Donna Nook

My favourite day of the year is a Donna Nook seal pup day, I don’t care it takes me 3 hours to get there then 3 hours home it’s so worth it to watch these little cuties

Wow well today I woke up to the news that I had got a Silver award at the International Pet photography awards. I am beyond speechless at achieving this, and the feedback I got that stopped it getting higher was that it was slightly over saturated. 

It’s the first time I have entered a “proper pro photographer” awards so to be placed this high I am beyond happy. My goal was to hit Pro standard with the hope of bronze at a push and I smashed it!!!

After feeling a bit under the weather the last few weeks, I finally got back out in nature today. 

I was rewarded with an incredible sighting - a stunning short-eared owl flew right past where I was standing! Seeing that beautiful bird in the wild was truly a special moment that lifted my spirits. 

Getting out and reconnecting with the natural world can be so restorative. I'm grateful I persisted and didn't let myself stay cooped up - the payoff of witnessing that owl was well worth it. 

Moments like these remind me why I love spending time outdoors observing wildlife.

Well today is the last day for entering for Embark we have the awards on Saturday night, these past 6 months have flown by. It was such a huge learning curve I have been so stressed, frustrated and excited throughout this. 

But here are my final 12 images for my Embark portfolio it was a tough choice and a few rounds I could have easily submitted 4 different pups. These are cropped to fit insta not the real crop. I have had the broken nose, Top 10 and Top 20 and a few shortlist images, and lost my little man who was an amazing model so I then couldn’t reshoot some of them with him, but the main thing is the last 6 months I have met and photographed some amazing pooches, which I will share some of the photos we got on them shoots the next few days.

Heart-pounding moment at Bradgate Park! We found ourselves unexpectedly surrounded by three massive stags with nowhere to retreat. This close-up captures the raw power and majesty of these incredible creatures. A stark reminder to always respect wildlife and maintain a safe distance. Nature's raw power on display at Bradgate Park yesterday! 🦌💥

We were treated to an incredible sight as these majestic red deer stags locked antlers in an intense battle. Their massive racks clashed as they fought for dominance right on the path.

After a day of admiring the park's impressive herds, this dramatic encounter was the perfect finale. Grateful to witness such an awe-inspiring moment of wildlife in action.

I done something slightly different today as it’s my birthday today 🥳 and I wanted to spend it with the little man, so we took him to Filey Bird Garden & Animal Park since it was pooch friendly. He absolutely loved being in with all the animals today and getting all the different smells, sadly the weather didn’t play ball today though, we still had a fun day
