I am Ali

I'm Ali Marley — a wildlife and seabird photographer, workshop leader, and author based in the north of England. I'm giddy, enthusiastic, and I genuinely believe that the natural world deserves to be celebrated through honest, heartfelt photography.

My heart lives at the clifftops. Gannets, puffins, kittiwakes — seabirds have completely stolen it, and Bempton Cliffs is my second home. I run wildlife photography workshops there throughout the season, and I wrote Discover The Art of Seabird Photography because I wanted to share everything I've learned about capturing these incredible birds in a way that does them justice.

But wildlife is just the beginning. I photograph across the UK and beyond — from Red Kites at Gigrin Farm to Orang-utans in Borneo — and I love nothing more than being out in the field with my camera, seeing what the day brings.

I also photograph dogs and horses, and I bring exactly the same patience and care to that work. If your dog won't sit still, brilliant — that's usually when the best shots happen.
